The CAT4134 500-mA, inductive boost LED driver integrates a movie/flash switching function, which allows users to set the exact flash and movie modes via a single resistor, minimizing the need for external circuitry. The device is capable of driving up to six white/color LEDs and offers two channel outputs. Output current levels are controlled by one of two resistors: RSET or RFLASH. The chip operates with an input supply of 3V and delivers a power efficiency up to 85%. Available in a 12-pin TDFN package measuring 3 mm x 3 mm, price is $0.88 each/10,000.
