Designed for dual-output dc/dc converters, the IRU3073 PWM controller integrates a low dropout (LDO) controller to enable a second output voltage via a single external MOSFET. It operates with either 5V or 12V input voltages, and both low- and high-side drivers can be biased separately. Switching frequency is programmable from 200 kHz to 400 kHz. The device includes capacitor-programmable soft start, an uncommitted error amplifier, and a 0.8V precision voltage reference. Available in a 16-pin QSOP, price is $0.70 each/1,000.
