The eight-channel HV219 and 16-channel HV238TA ultrasound drivers rely on proprietary technology that reportedly renders efficient switching, clear images, and fast frame rates. Profiled as a low-charge-injection, high-voltage analog switch, the HV219 employs bilateral DMOS switches and CMOS logic to control voltages up to 200V. This reportedly allows for higher transmitting voltages that provide deeper body-tissue imaging. Other features include a switch resistance of 11O. The HV238TA integrates bleed resistors on its outputs to discharge residual dc voltages and reduce erroneous signals. Prices for the HV219 in a 48-lead TQFP (HV219FG) or a 28-lead plastic package (HV219PJ) are $21.19 and $19.07 each/1,000, respectively. Pricing for the HV238TA in a 44-lead package is $21 each/1,000.
