16-mm BLDC Motors Deliver Up To 60,000 RPM

Oct. 8, 2008
Measuring 16 mm in diameter and 56-mm long, the EC16 brushless dc motors specify a power rating of 40W and a speed range from 0 to 60,000 rpm. For lowers speeds with corresponding higher torques, users can employ one of the company's planetary gear

Measuring 16 mm in diameter and 56-mm long, the EC16 brushless dc motors specify a power rating of 40W and a speed range from 0 to 60,000 rpm. For lowers speeds with corresponding higher torques, users can employ one of the company's planetary gear modular systems. The motors separate the control magnet from the main magnet, thereby protecting the Hall sensors against interference from the magnet and the winding current. Other reported features include high efficiency, no cogging, and a largely linear speed/torque gradient to provide reliable control characteristics. Target applications include medical and dental technology, construction tools, and automation systems. MAXON MOTOR USA, Fall River, MA. (800) 865-7540.
