The company is currently in the process of developing an absolute encoder employing its proprietary DAPS (Digital Angular Position Sensor) technology. Available with multiple output configurations, the encoder will feature a 12-bit resolution over a 360-degree rotation range. Similar to industry standard HS35 devices, the absolute encoder features a microprocessor-based design. Output options including multiple index points, custom coding, and software turns counters are also available. Other features include a bearing life exceeding 1-billion revolutions and custom configurations and package sizes to meet specific requirements. Beta samples with limited options are currently available and lead time for custom samples is 12 weeks. BI TECHNOLOGIES, Fullerton, CA. (714) 447-2345.
