The company's latest range of brushless dc motors features the EC 20 flat, EC 32 flat, and EC 45 flat, which now include built-in speed controllers. Standard motors available are the two and five-wire versions with an operating range of 2W to 50W. The motors also provide current commutation via integrated Hall sensors, a one-quadrant speed controller, and a range of protection functions. In the two-wire versions, speed acts proportionately to the applied operating voltage from 10V to 28V. The five-wire version offers additional functionality and a wider operating range with set value input, enable, and speed a monitor. Current limiting, under- and over-voltage switch-off, plus temperature monitoring comes standard with all models. MAXON MOTOR USA, Fall River, MA. (800) 865-7540.
