The Incodermotors, a line of permanent magnet dc and brushless dc motors and gearmotors, feature integral encoders, which reduce the number of external components as well as the associated costs. They come pre-wired and fully tested, allowing for drop in deployment. A desirable advantage, since the encoder is inside the motor, it gains a layer of protection from harsh environments while maintaining the overall size of the motor-encoder combination. The 4.5V to 12V magnetic encoders are available with one or two hall sensor outputs in resolutions of 2, 4, 8, and 30 pulses/revolution.
