Available in both single- and dual-channel versions, the MCP4XXXX family of six digital potentiometers with an SPI interface combine high performance and development tool support for embedded control designs. The devices come with resistor values of 10 Kiloohms, 50 Kiloohms and 100 Kiloohms and wiper position for each chip is changed via a standard SPI serial interface.
The device features high accuracy at an 8-bit resolution, single supply operation of 2.7V to 5.5V, and low static current of 1µA maximum. Applications include audio equipment, servo-motor control, and power supplies. Pricing is $1.15 each,1,000 for the MCP41XXX; $1.69 for MCP42XXX.
