Fan Motors Increase Flow, Cut Power

Oct. 6, 2005
Maximum air flow is increased by up to 15% and power consumption is decreased by 15% over previous models in the San Ace 40GV series of fan motors. Air flow is 24 CFM while power consumption is 7.2W. The motors are available in 12-Vdc G- and J-speed

Maximum air flow is increased by up to 15% and power consumption is decreased by 15% over previous models in the San Ace 40GV series of fan motors. Air flow is 24 CFM while power consumption is 7.2W. The motors are available in 12-Vdc G- and J-speed models. Measurements are 1.57" square x 1.1" thick for use in 1U height server units. An advanced impeller and frame design reduces noise by 3 dB compared to competitive motors. Life expectancy (L10) is rated at 40,000 hours at 60°C. Optional features include a tachometer sensor and lock-rotor sensor outputs, as well as pulse-width modulation control to control the fan’s rotational speed. SANYO DENKI AMERICA INC., Torrance, CA.
