The round gearbox configuration of the Series 42MO48C-R 42-mm geared permanent magnet stepper motor is said to feature a smaller footprint than that of standard pear-shaped boxes. By combining high pullout torque- 5 oz.-in. at 150 pps measured at motor output shaft- with a compact gearbox package that produces an overall package weight of only 11 oz., the geared motor provides designers with an excellent choice for many computer peripheral, office automation, HVAC, gaming, instrumentation and medical/laboratory equipment applications. The motor measures only 42 mm x 24 mm, while the gearbox measures 54 mm x 15 mm. The permanently lubricated, fine-pitch sintered gearing contributes to the high torque rating and also improves gear life while delivering consistent quality. Ball-bearing versions are also available.
