This low-profile linear motor positioning stage is said to provide a high level of positional accuracy and repeatability in an exceptionally small package. The stage is particularly well-suited for constant velocity applications found in fiber-optic and semiconductor manufacturing operations. It utilizes a brushless dc linear motor mounted to precision crossed roller stage, 50 mm high, making the unit one of the lowest profile linear motor stages currently available. The stage also contains an internal, non-contact linear encoder mounted in the base for high accuracy positioning. And with no moving cables to obstruct motion, the stage can provide high reliability and smooth motion. BAYSIDE MOTION GROUP, Port Washington, NY. (516) 484-5353.
