Designed for use in LANs incorporated in motor vehicles, the MB90F428GA and MB90428GA 16-bit microcontrollers integrate a CAN interface, LCD controller with drive functions, and up to four stepper-motor control blocks. They also include an on-chip timer, a/d converter, sound generators, and a UART. Offered as the latest members of the F2MC series microcontrollers, these devices offer enhancements to the failsafe function of the low-voltage detector circuit and the CPU-activity detector circuit. They can detect interruptions in the power supply voltage and CPU malfunctions. For applications requiring program modifications and/or software that self-programs, the MB90F428GA provides 128 KB of internal flash memory. Available in 100-pin QFP and LQFPs, the MB90F428GA and MB90428GA are priced at $10.60 and $7.50, respectively, each/50,000.
