Optocouplers Hit Many High Notes

May 1, 2002

Boasting of high speed, high CMRR, high current, and wide supply ranges, the PS9613 and PS9713 1 Mb/s optocouplers are suitable for use as drivers for intelligent power modules and are optimized for applications such as motor controllers, serial data coupling, and power-supply feedback. The PS9613 comes in either an eight-pin plastic DIP or a gullwing-type SMT package and the PS9713 is available in a five-pin SOP. Both components have a CMH/CML of ±15 kV/µs minimum, response times of 500 ns maximum tPHL and 750 ns maximum tPLH, and maximum propagation delays of tPHL-tPLD=270 ns typical. Operating on supply voltages from -0.5V to 35V, output current is 15 mA. CALIFORNIA EASTERN LABORATORIES, Santa Clara, CA. (408) 988-3500.
