Designed with an extensive array of protection features in a very small package, Mini Series of Intelligent Power Switches offer over-temperature, over-current, over-voltage protection and an active inductive energy clamp to eliminate the need for extra external protection components. An internal slew rate control for turn-on and turn-off and low noise charge pump for high side devices lowers EMI, and ground noise generation is less than 10 µA. The high-side products are designed to handle a large offset from logic ground to load or chassis ground due to harness or contact resistance and corrosion. A level shifted active clamp lets the devices act as active switches, even during recirculation of inductive energy to permit full use of PWM control required for linear solenoids and dc motors. Various single-, dual- and quad-channel configurations are available.
