Digi-Key Corporation Kicks Off Electronica 2012

Digi-Key kicked off its participation in Electronica 2012 by presenting the company's market forecasts, European Production Business overview, and ways in which it continues to innovate within the electronic component distribution market.
Global electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation, recognized by design engineers as having the industry’s largest selection of electronic components available for immediate shipment, today began its electronica 2012 campaign by holding a press conference for industry media prior to the start of the show.Digi-Key’s Industry Media Press Conference was held in Munich, Germany and broadcast online via a worldwide webcast. The event was hosted by Tony Harris, Chief Marketing Officer at Digi-Key, and featured participation by Mark Larson, Digi-Key President and COO; Dave Doherty, Vice President, Global Supplier and Product Operations; and Chris Beeson, Vice President, Global Sales and Business Development. The presentations were followed by a Q&A session during which attendees asked questions of the participants. Topics covered at the event included Digi-Key’s history, market forecasts, European Production Business overview, and ways in which Digi-Key continues to innovate within the electronic component distribution market. “Europe is a dynamic market within the electronic component space, and electronica has allowed us to gain a better understanding of how we can best serve this market by meeting with our customers and suppliers on a more intimate level,” Harris said. “This industry media press conference has allowed us to further this effort by telling the Digi-Key story more in-depth and showing what makes our business model unique and desirable to potential customers and suppliers.”
