Maximizing system density, the V1021 configurable packet processing XMC/PMC module integrates SFP+, the latest 10-Gigabit optical transceiver technology. Occupying a single chassis slot, the module promises to pack more functionality into a system while reducing size and cost. The open-standard form factor module features standard PCI-X and PCI Express host interfaces, customizable functionality via a Xilinx FPGA, an optimized udpXG communications protocol for offloading, streamXG data streaming acceleration cores, and a standard sockets-based software API for ease of integration and future software portability.
