Zayante's TNF software and Philips Semiconductors' hardware have been packaged to offer developers what is claimed to be the industry’s first complete, integrated, commercial-quality 1394 solution. The package is fully compliant with the IEEE 1394-1995 and 1394a standards for a high performance serial bus. Written in ANSI C and designed for embedded systems, the Philips Semiconductors' driver and protocol stack are highly portable, with versions available for real-time operating systems.
