Supporting users needing to design in both wired and wireless networking functionality, the ConnectCore Wi-9C emerges as the first embedded core module with 10/100 Ethernet and 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN networking capabilities. Driven by an ARM9-based NetSilicon NS9360 processor, the module is pre-certified to eliminate approval delays during wireless-product development. It is interchangeable and pin-compatible with the ConnectCore 9C, an embedded core module for wired networking. Features include RoHS compliance, up to 256 MB of SDRAM and flash, plus security support via WEP, WPA, and WPA2/802.11i. Complete NET+Works, Windows CE 5.0, and Linux development kits are available. Price for the ConnectCore Wi-9C with 802.11b/g support starts at $149 each/1,000. DIGI INTERNATIONAL, Minnetonka, MN. (877) 912-3444.
