Groomed for the most remote, hostile, and extreme environments, the ARK-4180 embarks as the most powerful PCI-104-based embedded computer on the market. The unit enlists a 1-GHz Celeron M processor operating in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +75°C. Housed in a specially cast and milled solid-aluminum block with thermal fins, the computer relies on heat pipes to eliminate the need for active cooling. Brackets on the aluminum enclosure allow stacking of additional enclosures for more I/O and functionality. Other features include six USB 2.0 and two RS-232 ports, 10/100 Base-T Ethernet LAN, one VGA interface, and one PCI-104 connector. ADVANTECH CORP., Irvine, CA. (800) 866-6008.
