The CS42406 surroundsound codec is designed for audio/video and DVD receiver applications. It features the company's patented Popguard technology along with two analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and six 24-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) channels. The DAC provides 102-dB dynamic range, while the ADC provides 105 dB. The CS42406 comes in a 48-pin LQFP package. Pricing for the codec starts at $2.62.
