Incorporating StarGen's SG1010 switch devices, the 6U CP-SFX8 switch fabric card provides eight links to a PICMG 2.17-compliant CompactPCI backplane and supports up to eight node cards within the chassis. The card also includes two front panel links to connect to a second chassis for redundancy and fault tolerance. Features include a per-port bandwidth of 5 Gb/s and an aggregate bandwidth of 40 Gb/s, a PMC site that operates in monarch and non-monarch mode, and compatibility with Windows, Solaris, and Linux operating systems.
