Mini PCIe Modules Rated For Full Industrial Temp Range

April 23, 2013
Portfolio of Mini PCIe modules provide standardized way to add I/O and storage functions to embedded computer products.

A new portfolio of Mini PCIe modules from VersaLogic provides a standardized way to add I/O and storage functions to embedded computer products, allowing additional functions to be added to a system with almost no increase in overall package size. Designed for high reliability in demanding environments, the modules are all rated for operation over the full industrial temperature range, and for high shock and vibration. The modules are manufactured to IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards, with class 3 assembly optionally available for most modules where extreme reliability is required. The new portfolio consists of the following modules: 8-Channel Analog Input; One Gigabit Ethernet Interface; Serial + GPIO with four RS-232/422/485 ports; SATA Adapter; GPS Receiver; 8 and 32 GB AES Encrypted Solid-State Drives; Wi-Fi; and 4, 16, and 32 GB mSATA Drives. Mini PCIe modules are currently available in sample quantities. Production volumes will be available in the next 60 days. Prices range from $50 to $700, depending on the function selected.
