PCIe Frame Grabber Simultaneously Captures Four Analog-Video, Stereo-Audio Channels

Oct. 25, 2013
The Model 810 PCI Express 4-Channel Frame Grabber with Audio Capture concurrently captures four channels of analog NTSC/PAL video and four channels of stereo audio.

The Model 810 PCI Express 4-Channel Frame Grabber with Audio Capture concurrently captures four channels of analog NTSC/PAL video and four channels of stereo audio. Sensoray’s board captures raw video frames from each channel at up to full frame rate—120 frames/s for NTSC and 100 frames/s for PAL. Four BNC connectors on the mounting bracket can be used to connect external composite video sources. A DB15 connector connects audio inputs. A 34-pin header provides alternative access to all I/O signals on the board. The unit supports D1, VGA, QVGA, QQVGA, SIF, 2SIF, 4SIF, CIF, QCIF, SQCIF, and 4CIF video-capture resolutions. Captured frames are formatted as RGB or YUV; third-party and/or OSS codec can be used for compressed video/audio capture. Audio can be stereo or mono; the sampling rate supports 32, 44.1, and 48 kHz. The high frame-capture rate through a single-lane x1 PCIe interface suits the board for applications such as broadcast-grade video/audio capturing, video surveillance, law enforcement, and traffic monitoring.
