Synchronizing multiple PXI Express systems, the PXIe-6672 module is the industry’s first PXI Express timing and synchronization controller. Said to exhibit nanosecond precision, the controller also promises to ease synchronizing of PXI Express systems with GPIB, VXI, and other measurement and instrumentation systems. It generates high-resolution clocks from DC to 105 MHz and includes a TCXO reference with a 1-ppm stability. Additionally, users can implement complex synchronization schemes in a single PXI Express chassis, reportedly an important capability for high-channel-count test-and-measurement applications. Price of the PXIe-6672 is $1,999. NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS, Austin, TX. (800) 258-7022.
