Advantech’s UbiQ-480 wall-mount touch computer targets home automation applications. It hosts a Freescale i.MX31 processor running Windows CE 5.0. Six programmable function keys, a built-in 1.3-Mpixel camera, an infrared receiver, a microphone with echo cancellation, and a speaker for full multimedia support surround the 7-in. 16:9 touchscreen panel. Interfaces include a pair of Ethernet ports, serial ports, USB 2.0 ports, and parallel I/O ports. 802.11b/g support and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) are optional. Pricing starts at $695.
