DIN-Rail Surge Suppressors Guard Against Voltage Spikes

Dec. 1, 1998
Capable of absorbing more than 900 Joules of energy, these DIN rail mounted surge suppression modules with a multiple-stage transient voltage capability are designed to decrease the risk of damage to equipment from potentially damaging voltage spikes.

Capable of absorbing more than 900 Joules of energy, these DIN rail mounted surge suppression modules with a multiple-stage transient voltage capability are designed to decrease the risk of damage to equipment from potentially damaging voltage spikes. The modules are for use with ac and dc supply voltages, as well as current loop applications, and have an LED indicator that turns off when it is time to replace the module to ensure proper operation. The VSSDC Series dc voltage surge suppressors have operating voltages of 5V, 13.5V, 24V, 48V and 110V for maximum current of 10A. The VSSAC Series ac voltage surge suppressors have operating voltages of 120V and 240V for maximum 10A. The CLSS Series current loop surge suppressors are in one- and two-wire ±20 mA configurations with operating voltages of ±10V, ±24V, ±60V and ±130V with current of 1A and surge ratings from 4000A to 16,000A. The VLSS Series voltage loop surge suppressors come in one- and two-wire configurations with operating voltages of ±15V, ±30V, ±60V and ±200V and surge current ratings from 2000A to 13,000A.
