Targeting multi-phase voltage regulator module (VRM) applications, the PA051X series surface-mount power inductors boast of having over two times the energy storage density compared to similar inductors of the same size. Measuring just 7 x 7 x 5 mm, the inductors also claim to have the industry's smallest footprint. Two platforms, the PA0511 and Pa0512, provide six inductance values ranging from 72 to 220 nH. Each inductor has a dc resistance of less than or equal to 0.55 milliohms and operates in temperatures from -40°C to 130°C. Prices start at $0.30 each/100,000. PULSE, San Diego, CA. (858) 674-8100.
