The updated version includes enhanced security support, better performance, and expanded connectivity. It also supports the standard AES-128 protocol encryption for high-level security applications. Applications include energy infrastructure, homeland-security systems, commercial-irrigation systems, wastewater management, seismic monitoring, HVAC, advanced metering infrastructure, and medical drug carts, amongst others.
