Optimized for use with Xilinx FPGAs, the XF-HDLC-M multi-channel HDLC controller provides HDLC functions for multiple channels and its core incorporates four customizable blocks. The four blocks consist of a front-end line interface designed to meet varying requirements, a time-slicer for optimal resource utilization, a full featured HDLC processing unit, and a back-end interface that comes with a DMA controller. The core is designed to handle PCI, UTOPIA or other interfaces depending on user requirements. Prices start at $7,200 and the device is available immediately.
