The company's host connectors and slot systems support the deployment of ExpressCard technology in mobile and desktop PCs. Both connectors, the 10030584 and 10056265, meet the mechanical and performance requirements of the ExpressCard Compliance Program as per the PCMCIA. The 26-position connector system relies on a beam-on-blade contact interface with host connectors exhibiting life spans up to 5,000 cycles. These RoHS-compliant connectors feature a single-row, in-line configuration for surface-mount solder tails. Supporting both USB 2.0 and PCI Express interfaces, the slot system offers a number of slot-mounting options. Top-mount universal slot systems with card-push ejection are available with slot-standoff options ranging from 0.0 mm to 2.2 mm. Options supporting slot placement below the host PCB are also available. Typical host connector prices are $0.76 each/2,000. FCI USA INC., Etters, PA. (800) 237-2374.
