Offered as economical components, the company's traditional D-sub shielded hoods suit indoor signal or power applications requiring robustness and high EMI/RFI performance. The hoods employ a simpler design that results in a lighter connector, allowing for faster assembly. They consist of two half-metal covers in zamack (zinc alloy) with two jack screws and a steel fiber-reinforced plastic strain relief for EMI/RFI screening and cable retention. The relief works with cable diameters from 4 mm to 13 mm. The D-Sub shielded hood series is available in nine-, 15-, 25- and 37-position versions, all of which specify an operating temperature from -40°C to +120°C.
