This LC adapter and ferrule system fits in a smaller aperture and extends into the optical enclosure 25.4 mm less than standard LC adapters with BTW connectors. The system employs 1.25-mm ceramic ferrules and is available in both single- and multi-mode versions. To accommodate fiber routing during installation, the ferrule freely rotates a full 360°. The ferrule retention system at the rear of the adapter also provides EMI shielding for the optical module. Additionally, the system complies with Telcordia GR-326-CORE, EIA/TIA, TIA FOCIS 10, and ISO 11801 standards. STRATOS LIGHTWAVE INC., Chicago, IL. (800) 323-6858.
