Designed for Ethernet applications, the HyperJack 1000 modular jacks feature what is promoted as an innovative integrated magnetics design. The jacks use a minimum of four transformers and four chokes to meet the required electrical specifications of Gigabit Ethernet. These include an insertion loss of -1.5 dB at 80 MHz, a near-end crosstalk of -30 dB at 100 MHz, return loss of -10 dB at 100 MHz, and a common-mode rejection of -30 dB at 100 MHz. Additionally, the jacks meet the EMI requirements of FFC 15 class A on 48-port line cards. An IEE802.3af HyperJack 1000 jack for VoIP applications is under development.
