The company's latest vertical card-edge connectors provide 280 positions for interfacing serial PCI Express signals to riser cards in rack-mount servers. Connector series 10037901 accepts either a standard PCI Express x8 add-in card or a 280-position riser card that supports PCI, PCI-X, or PCI Express. Series 10027747 accepts a unique 3-slot riser that can provide two x8 PCI Express slots supporting x4 links and one PCI-X slot in a 2U form factor. Both connectors accommodate a 1.58-mm thick add-in card and are available in lead-free versions. Typical pricing for a connector with a tin-lead, solder-tail finish is $1.20 each/1,000.
