Power Connector Now Available In Straddle Mount Version

FCI’s High Power Card Edge (HPCE) connector is now available in a straddle-mount configuration that provides a lower profile height option: 2.8 mm above the PCB surface.

FCI’s High Power Card Edge (HPCE) connector is now available in a straddle-mount configuration that provides a lower profile height option: 2.8 mm above the PCB surface. The HPCE connector features a contact resistance of less than or equal to 0.6 m? after environmental exposure and a higher linear current density to 180A per inch with multiple contacts energized. The connector is rated to 9A per power contact beam with multiple power contacts fully energized without exceeding a +30°C temperature rise in still air. Straddle mount HPCE connectors are available with power and signal contacts integrated into a single molded housing for power distribution and power control. FCI USA INC., Etters, PA.
