Rising Clamp Terminals Connect Cables

A new interlocking vertical PCB connector has been designed in two sizes, both with rising clamp terminals for secure connection of cables. The CTB04VY has a pitch of 6.35 mm, and the CTB04VZ a 9.52 mm pitch. Both sizes are available with two or three poles, and units interlock so terminal blocks can be built up to any length. The insulating body is molded in green UL94V0 flame retardant PA68. Nominal current is rated at 32A at 450V or 750V for the 6.35 mm and 9.52 mm pitch versions, respectively. Other specifications include combination head M3 cable screw and zinc-plated copper rising clamp with nickel/tin-plated zinc-copper contacts. Both the CTB04VY and CTB04VZ accept up to 4 mm2 section cable and require PCB mounting holes of 1.3 mm diameter. Insulation resistance is greater than or equal to 10 MΩ with dielectric strength of 2,500 Vac for 6.35 mm pitch terminals and 3,000 Vac for 9.52 mm pitch versions. Maximum operating temperature is 125°C. CAMDEN ELECTRONICS LTD., St. Albans, Hertfordshire, UK.
