A wide range of shielding capabilities is offered by a new line of silicone elastomer gasketing materials. The materials are divided into three families. The E/Gasket-OWS integrates military-grade silicone with a choice of wire substrates. It is available in both solid and sponge silicone and comes in sheet and strip forms or die cut, with or without pressure-sensitive adhesive. For demanding applications, the E/Gasket CSE offers silver-plated aluminum filled or copper filled and nickel-coated graphite elastomers. These are said to be suitable for MIL-G-83528 applications. The E/Gasket-EMC gaskets integrate metal sheeting with an elastomer to provide both a flexible and conductive seal. These are available in Monel, aluminum, and stainless-steel materials.
