A new kind of gasket, the T-Shape gasket, has been developed for single environment EMC/EMI sealing. The T-Shape gasket is surface wiping and is specially made for card-cages. The surface is electrically conducting with a high conductive fabric over a neoprene core. The gasket permits zero clearance tolerance and allows bi-directional wiping. It is designed specifically to replace BeCu strips and is claimed to be easily installed in the seal grooves using pressure sensitive adhesive.
