Universal Programmer Works With And Without Computer

Designed for use either with a computer or as a stand-alone unit, the Model 869 universal programmer supports PROMs, EPROMs, PLDs, and microcontrollers and comes with a 48-pin ZIF socket for handling any DIP having up to 48 pins. Socket adapters for interfacing the programmer to PLCC, SOIC, TSOP, TQFP and other IC packages are available, too. The unit is also said to offer outstanding buffer features, as well as the ability to perform logic IC and device insertion tests and to auto-generate electronic serial numbers.
