The LS6D-1012A-RH dc/ac inverter for driving cold-cathode fluorescent lamps in LCD back-lighting applications outfits 10” to 17” industrial-grade LCD panels. Offering dual LCD panel capability, the component features brightness and backlight on-off control. It accepts an input of 12Vdc and delivers an output current of 3.3 mA to 6 mA per lamp. The device’s CCFL driving circuit includes a self-oscillating converter, known as a Royer circuit, which minimizes EMI. Total device power output is 5W per lamp or 10W total. Physically, the LS6D-1012A-RH measures 180 mm x 37 mm x 10 mm. Other specifications include a 1.5 kVrms minimum start-up voltage and a 2A maximum input current.
