A new keyfob encoder transmitter has been designed for applications requiring secure and reliable remote operation. The AM-110 transmitter combines Microchip’s highly secure 64-bit code hopping Keeloq protocol with an extended operating range of up to 330’. This unit is housed in a robust ABS enclosure, with one, two or three switches. Keypads can be customized to suit a corporate design. The AM-110 transmitter is FCC compliant and operates on a frequency of AM 315 MHz. A built-in LED provides visual indication of transmission, and data is transmitted for as long as the button is depressed. High security is ensured, as the transmission data stream is scrambled using the Keeloq protocol. Depending on its configuration, data transmission will cause a momentary or a latching action at the receiver decoder. All AM-110 encoders have an output power of 10 mW and incorporate a power saving auto shut-off feature to maximize battery life. When a battery-low condition is detected, a warning is automatically transmitted to the decoder receiver. Pricing starts at $12. OKW ELECTRONICS, Bridgeville, PA. (800) 965-9872.
