Designed for deployment in inspection microscopes, the RL-9 LED ringlight can illuminate a 2" spot with an intensity of 55,000 lux, nearly the brightness of direct sunlight. This bright output allows the component to be used with higher magnification optics to illuminate fine details while reducing eye fatigue. The use of white LEDs also prevents heating of the illuminated subject. An advanced lens design directs light from individual sources to the centerline of the ringlight and blends it into a luminescent spot. The ringlight comes with a current-controlled power supply that plugs into standard power outlets and a brightness control that allows dialing in any level from full to zero output. The single piece price is $562. ORLED, Tigard, OR. (503) 968-1375.
