The AV series of lighted, single-pole, N.O. pushbutton switches is said to provide a high level of security in harsh environments and unsupervised locations. A metal bezel with a low profile prevents attempts to remove the switch from its panel. To prevent the insertion of foreign objects, anti-jamming construction is employed that consists of minimal clearance between the switch bezel and actuator, as well as reduced actuator travel. Other security features include a solid mechanical stop inside the metal bezel and sealing options to IP54 and IP65. LED illumination offers a choice of red, green, yellow or red/green. The switches are rated for 50 mA at 24 Vdc with a life expectancy of one million cycles minimum. Price is $10.52 each/1,000. APEM, Haverhill, MA. (781) 246-1007.
