Expanding the PicoLED series of chip LEDs are three members: the PicoLED-eco, PicoLED-RGB, and, debuting as the industry’s smallest, the PicoLED-mini. Available in red, orange, yellow, and green, the PicoLED-eco (SML-P11 series) employs patented technology to deliver twice the brightness as comparable LEDs in the 1-mA region. The components measure 1 mm x 0.6 mm x 0.2mm. The PicoLED-RGB series tri-color LEDs are available in two package configurations: four-pin 1 mm x 1 mm x 0.2 mm and six-pin 1.5 mm x 1 mm x 0.2 mm. The PicoLED-mini measures 0.6 mm x 0.3 mm x 0.2 mm and is available in red x 2, orange, yellow, green, yellowish green, blue, and white. Each series features four-element construction (AlGaInP). Samples are available now and single-unit prices range from $0.08 to $1.20. ROHM ELECTRONICS, San Diego, CA. (858) 625-3630.
