Named DIODESTAR, Diodes’ proprietary process platform for the manufacture of next generation high-voltage rectifiers yields its first device in the form of a high-efficiency, 600V/8A rectifier for LCD-LED TV power supplies. The DIODESTAR process will support the production of a range of high voltage rectifier products for a variety of end applications. The first device, the DSR8V600, is tailored for use as the boost diode in the power factor correction circuits of single- and dual-stage switched mode power supplies delivering up to 1 kW.
