EMBEDDED SYSTEMS CONFERENCE, San Jose, CA. – The VF2F2 reference design module for the Vinculum VNC1L embedded USB host controller employs a firmware application that demonstrates file transfers via the USB mass storage class interface. It allows moving files from a USB device, like a digital camera, to a USB flash disk. The reference design can also be used to transfer files between other mass storage devices, i.e., MP3 players or between two USB flash disks. The module provides two USB type A sockets and four control buttons and includes a dc/dc converter for power chores. Additionally, four LEDs indicate flash-disk enumeration, file copy, power, and error conditions. The VF2F2 comes fully assembled with schematics, firmware, and Gerber files.
