Designed to meet the space and performance needs of low to moderate power telecomm, industrial control and embedded systems, the MKS40 series enclosed switching power supplies can deliver 40W of power, with four models having single outputs from 5 to 24 Vdc. The switchers accept universal input of from 85 to 265 Vac, and by using high-density SMT construction can achieve power densities of up to 3W/in.3 in case sizes up to 30% smaller than units with similar output power. MKS40 series supplies also have an integral power-good LED indicator, an output adjustment potentiometer, and a -10°C to 60°C operating temperature range without forced cooling or output power derating. They also offer over-voltage and short-circuit protection and have integral input line filtering. Measuring 4.5"L x 2.5"W x 1.5"H, the MKS40 series has screw terminal I/O connections. Pricing starts at $22 each in OEM quantities. ASTRODYNE, Taunton, MA. (508) 823-8080.
