Switching Supplies Tout High Power Density

A new ultra-miniature, medically-approved, open-frame switching power supply has been developed to deliver output power over the range of 10W to 15W. The ASM Global Performance Series power supply accepts a universal input from 85 to 265 Vac. The 10 models of the series provide single outputs of 3.3 to 24 Vdc. With convenient corner mounting holes, the supply is connector pin-out and mounting-size compatible to industry standard products. Single-sided construction is designed for high reliability, while other features include an integral power-good LED indicator and an output adjustment potentiometer. All models operate over a temperature range of 0°C to 50°C without forced cooling or output power derating. All models also contain short circuit protection circuitry as well as internal input filtering. This series is fully approved to EN60601-1/UL2601 medical safety specifications. Commercially approved ASL versions are also available. Dimensions for the 10W version are 2.28"L x 2"W x 0.56"H, and all models have miniature Molex-style I/O connection.
