VME64 Extension Powered Racks Resist Vibration

Supporting 6U x 160 mm and 6U x 220 mm card depths, the X721 Series of powered racks features IEEE 1101.10/1101.11-compliant card cages and a 12-layer VME64 extension backplane with 4 to 21 slots and a vertical stiffener system to deal with insertion- and vibration-related problems. The racks are available with a 300W or 1000W power supply and use fans and air deflecting card guides to help keep the housed electronics running cool. There also are provisions for 80-mm rear plug-in modules and transition modules.Other features include: an easily removable I/O panel for clear passage to the J2 backplane for cabling; provisions for chassis slides and front handles; a front mounted on/off switch; power hook-up cabling; LED dc monitors; fused line voltage; and RFI line filter.
