Fashioned for parameter storage in DTV, gaming, car infotainment, medical equipment, and computer peripherals, the M95M01 serial EEPROM with integrated SPI packs 1 Mb of memory in an SO8N package with a 3.8-mm body width. Said to be the first SPI serial EEPROM on the market to cram 1 Mb into this size package, the device is also available in a wider SO8W. Memory is organized as 128-Kb x 8 and supports byte-and-page write modes with a write time of 256 bytes in less than 5 ms, less than 13 µs/byte typical. With a data-retention spec of more than 40 years, write endurance is more than one million write cycles. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. Pricing for the M95M01 in volume is $1.50 each.
